Who Stole My Career?

Surviving The Assault on Private Sector Careers in America.

There are some things that we could be doing right now to put our neighbors and our friends, some family members back to work.  There is no reason why we should not extend a payroll tax cut that put $1,000 into the pockets of every single family out there.

There’s no reason why we shouldn’t put Americans back to work all across the country rebuilding America.  As I was driving in here, I saw that a new fire station is being built, thanks to the Recovery Act.  Well, we need roads and bridges and schools all across the country that could be rebuilt.

After a taxpayer funded political campaign tour of the Midwest, Obama promised to share “yet another” Jobs Plan with the rest of us once he finished his 10-day vacation with the Rich and Famous in tawny Tisbury on Martha’s Vineyard.

Meanwhile, his minions have been “leaking” details of his new, new Jobs Plan in an effort to distract the nation from focusing on the millions without jobs and the near recessionary lack of GDP growth.

I have pieced these leaks together to paint a fairly good picture of what Obama’s latest and greatest Jobs Plan will look like for you.

""I'm gunning for you corporate jet owners!"I've said to Republican leaders, You go talk to your constituents and ask them, are you willing to compromise your kids' safety so some corporate-jet owner can get a tax break?"

Barack Obama

The reason the stock market is in the tank is not just because our spending and debt are out of control; it's because we have a president who refuses to offer a solution to the crisis, but rather sees it as a never ending opportunity to demagogue against successful job creators in the private sector.

Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping

Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain -- Still remains

Within the sound of silence

The debt deal gets done as an anxious national waits to hear from the major credit rating agencies to find out if our sovereign debt will lose its AAA rating.

"We must spend more money we don't have on things we don't need!"After weeks of wrangling with the Republicans over the debt ceiling, Vice President Joe Biden accused members of the Tea Party of having "acted like terrorists."

The comments came in a closed-door Democratic Caucus meeting after Rep. Mike Doyle (D-Pa.) reportedly said that "We have negotiated with terrorists. This small group of terrorists have made it impossible to spend any money."

Somewhere in Chicago Rahm Emanuel must be smiling as yet another made-for-TV national crisis has been averted through bold political leadership (sarcasm intentional).

Now comes the “Pundit Free-for-all” as the so-called experts in the media debate their favorite subject “who won?”

First of all, if you have a hard core lefty like Mike Doyle saying “This small group of terrorists have made it impossible to spend any money," it’s hard to call that a victory for tax and spend democrats who truly believe that the job of congress is to spend money we don’t have on things we don’t need.

Regarding Lack of Qualified Job Applicants in 2013… The young people’s participation rate in the work force is going down. We asked small business owners what the problem was and for a huge number -- 20% of the owners, it was [young job applicants] appearance, attitude, they didn’t know how to dress, too many rings in their nose, this sort of thing. And for a worker who has to meet with customers or work in a team, those are very important things. William Dunkelberg
