Obama SOTUS: “I want an America where everyone gets a fair shot, and everyone does their fair share, and everyone plays by the same set of rules”

I love a good speech; one that stirs the soul and stimulates the brain. A good speech challenges the audience to look at reality in a new light and persuades them to see things differently -- from the speaker’s viewpoint.

Last night Obama continued his 2012 presidential campaign with a rousing good speech to congress, the nation, and the world.

Not surprisingly, the cornerstone of his speech was his ongoing effort to sell us his warped view of reality; one where there "the rules" are lessened for those who succeed and tougher on those who don’t.

Clearly, if you buy this warped view, then logically, you must also buy his agenda for creating a more “fair” America.

The problem with Obama’s warped view is that it is a lie – there are no special rules for the successful and they are the only ones in 2012 America who are contributing “their fair share.”

In fact, Obama’s entire campaign is built around this lie. He is hoping that the propaganda technique that worked for Vladimir Lenin when he overthrew the private sector to create Communist Russia will also work for him.

Let’s take each claim and give it “the truth test”

Does Everyone Get A Fair Shot?

This sort of thing is pure political rhetoric. Yes, everyone is born with the same rights and everyone gets a free public education through the 12^th grade. It is illegal to discriminate against people who are different than you and the tax code is the same for all tax payers.

That said, the reality in America isn’t so fair. Cities and states that have been dominated by liberal tax and spend policies are no longer providing a high school diploma that is worth the paper it’s written on.

Thanks to liberal policies like “the sanctuary city, and “voter registration that doesn’t require proof of citizenship," the limited funding and resources assigned to helping inner city kids get a good start have been diluted by the flood of illegal immigration.

Further, thanks to blind acceptance of lucrative and unfunded public sector union contracts in these cities, classrooms are now grossly overcrowded and programs like sports and music have virtually disappeared.

The liberal assault on the middle class doesn’t stop there. As we all know, liberals and labor unions go hand and hand. And in places like Detroit and Seattle, big labor has driven up the cost of middle class manufacturing jobs to the point where employers have been forced to leave town.

The truth is that liberals have taken away the "fair shot" from millions of Americans, but Obama wants us to believe his lie that someone the successful members of the private sector are to blame.

Does Everyone Pay Their Fair Share?

This line is the most reprehensible in Obama’s arsenal of Class Warfare Rhetoric. It plays on this misguided belief that the government somehow created the wealth in America and thus the government should redistribute it “fairly.”

The truth is, the only thing that the US government has done historically to create wealth is to allow the free market to flourish like no other nation. And it is Obama’s constant threat to stifle the growth of the free market that has turned the recession of 2008 into Obama’s Great Recession.

That said, in America today, everyone does not pay their fair share. In fact, the 46% of Americans who are not successful contribute nothing to funding the government.

But it’s actually worse than that. The bottom 40% actually take 5 times as much as they pay from the rest of us (see below). Liberal policies like 99 weeks of unemployment and Medicaid have bred a nation of freeloaders.

In fact, as the chart below reveals, the only people in America who pay significantly more than “their fair share” are the top 20% of wage earners (AKA The Rich), who pay in 3 times what they “receive” from the government.

The truth is that the so-called wealthy pay far more than their "fair share," but Obama wants to sell you the lie that they don't.

Does Everyone Play By The Same Set Of Rules?

Duh, yeah. I love this one. It implies that there are some secret set of rules that favor the evil rich, private sector, wall street fat cats among us that have enabled them to succeed and held back the average American.

Okay, what are these secret rules and why on earth didn’t Obama and the democrats change them during the 2 years in which they controlled all branches of government?

The truth is, there are only one set of rules in America. They begin with the Constitution, then flow into the General Laws and Internal Revenue Code.

Obama loves to talk about bailouts, but all bailouts are not equal:

The so-called Wall Street Bailouts were not bailouts at all. They were capital investments made by the US Treasury that resulted in the American people actually “owning” a dividend paying stake in the top 500 financial institutions in the nation. Thanks to the stock market collapse, these capital investments were made when the stock value of these companies was very low and thus “we got a great deal.”

In fact, all of the money invested was recovered over 18 months ago and the American people actually profited from the TARP program that George Bush engineered.

The same cannot be said for Obama’s favorite bail-out recipient – Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. These are the folks that got into trouble when uber-liberal Barney Frank insisted that they buy up trillions in subprime mortgages that were made with people the banks refused to fund – because they couldn’t pay them back (see: Frank’s Fingerprints All Over Financial Fiasco ).

Obama has already thrown $200 billion down this rat hole and just proposed another $100 billion that will never be paid back. This is a pure bailout and it funds a different set of rules for the liberal poor than those that the hard working middle class who pay their mortgage play by.

Although the rules are the same for everybody, Obama wants you to believe the lie that Wall Street doesn't have to play by them. In fact, the only crony deals being dispensed unfairly are coming from Obama and going to places like Solyndra and Fannie Mae.

The Lie Repeated

This is truly a sad day for America. The future of our nation hangs in the balance of the 2012 elections and president has adopted the political strategy of one of the evilest dictators in history as his campaign strategy.

One can only hope that the American people do not get duped by Obama’s lies.
